James S. Cala, age 86, of Middlesex Twp., Valencia, died Friday evening, June 2, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born in Bellevue, PA on August 6, 1930, he was the son of the late Samuel and Josephine Cala.

Jim worked for various Pittsburgh area companies as a Construction Project Manager.

He served as an MP in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of Holy Sepulcher Church in Glade Mills.

Surviving are his wife, Armelda Luba Cala, who he married on February 9, 1956, a daughter, Rose Anne Tamok of White Oak, a son, James Cala of Mars, his grandchildren, Alexis Brown and Miranda Tamok, and two sisters, Minnie McMahon in California and Grace Potts of Pgh.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Jeannette Dees and two brothers, Phillip and John Cala.
