Dorothy Taylor Obituary

Dorothy Taylor of Mesa, AZ passed away on October 26, 2018, just three days shy of her 95th birthday. Formerly of Mars, Dorothy was an active volunteer in many organizations including the Girl Scouts, Mars library, North Suburban Fine Arts League, and the Women's Auxiliary at Allegheny General Hospital. She was an active member of the Mars United Methodist Church and their choir. Dorothy and her husband Jim moved to Mesa in 1990 and there she enjoyed the Leisure World choir, regular water exercise, and bridge club.  She was also an avid reader until her final days.

Dorothy's daughters and their families, including 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, were the light of her life.  Dorothy was able to host two grand-family reunions in Arizona, and enjoyed regular visits from all of them, near and far.  Dorothy stayed in touch by learning to use all of the electronic devices needed to communicate daily with her loved ones.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband James, her son Warren, and her siblings Clyde, Clara, and Jim. She is survived by her sister Nellie of Myrtle Beach, her daughters Donna (Ira) of Mesa, Linda (Mike) of Prescott, and Betty (T.Lyle) of Pennsylvania, as well as the rest of the extensive family that she created. They will all keep the light of Dorothy's remembrance in their hearts forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2-4 PM, Friday, December 7th, at the Pine Community Center on 100 Pine Park Drive, Wexford, PA. Condolences available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
