Doris J. (Johanson) Shields

Doris J. Shields, age 93, of Mars, formerly of Wilkinsburg, passed away on Monday afternoon, March 11, 2019 at Family Hospice Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh.

Born in San Francisco, CA on March 22, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Erick K. and Alma Rosengren Johanson.

Doris had been an administrative secretary for the Ellis School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rodger Shields.

Surviving are a son, Bennette Dixon (Carol) of Roanoke, VA., her step-daughters, Arlene Halloran (Richard) of Penn Hills/Plum, Judith Urso (Joe) of Mars and Susan Porter (James) of Irwin, PA, a step-son, James Robert Shields, II, (Joanne) of Alpharetta, GA and 17 grandchildren.

Arrangements are private under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Westmoreland County, PA.
