Donald B. Levesque, of Mars, succumbed to cancer surrounded by his family and closest friends on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on December 11, 1936, he was the son of the late Lionel and Lauretta Menard Levesque.
After graduation from Prevost High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Seville, Spain. Afterwards he also served as a member of the National Guard. A kind and generous man, Donald volunteered his time with a group known as Lizzy's Bikes, which provided bicycles to children of economically disadvantaged families in the area. Don loved all sports, but baseball was his passion, and the New York Yankees and Pirates were his favorite teams.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carole A. Levesque and his brother, Leonard Levesque.
Don is survived by his daughter, Lee Parsons of McCandless Twp., and her husband, David, two grandchildren, Jonathan Ptachcinski and his wife, Aylea, and Rachel Ptachcinski, two great grandchildren, Brea and Annalise Ptachcinski, a sister, Doris Michaud and several nieces and nephews.
