Sad to learn, just today, of David's passing. I'm a second cousin. We only met once, a few years ago, at the home of my first and his second cousin Jean (Minner) up in New Castle - where I was born. We had a wonderful meeting; it's just sort of amazing to get to know someone practically out of the blue with whom you share so much. I'll always be grateful for David placing that beautiful new headstone at the grave of our great-grandfather, Andrew B. Porter. "The Union Forever." Rest in peace, David.

We are so sorry to hear that Dave has passed away-he was a great neighbor and fr9We have many fond memories of all the times we shared with the entire Aeberli family -it would be hard to find a person with a better sense of humor or a better knack for telling a story. We’ll miss him greatly!

Dave was a gentleman. He was the go to man when it came to Civil War facts. I really enjoyed our discussions. We are really sorry to hear of his passing away and condolences to his family.
