Daniel Koshute Obituary

Daniel T. Koshute, age 59, of Seven Fields, formerly of Windber and Mt. Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in the comfort of his home.

Born in Windber, PA, on October 7, 1958, he was the son of the late Michael and Josephine Rizzo Koshute.

Dan graduated from Washington & Jefferson with a Bachelor’s in Economics. He received his Master’s of Science in Management and Policy Analysis from Carnegie Mellon University. He was the Director of Institutional Research at Robert Morris University and had also worked for St. Francis University, CCAC – Allegheny Campus, and W & J.

Dan participated in over 90 races, including 19 marathons.

He was a member at St. Kilian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Jennifer Hudson Shults Koshute, who he married on October 29, 2011; his children, Daniel Koshute of Mt. Lebanon and Allison Koshute of Mt. Lebanon; his step-children, Joseph Shults of Pgh., James Shults of Seven Fields, and Kerry Shults of Seven Fields; his siblings, Michael Koshute, Verna (David) Moore, Josephine (William) Hurley, Gloria (John) Ellis, Margaret Koshute, Mark (Susan) Koshute, Cindy (Paul) McClosky, Vincent Koshute, William Koshute, Lisa Koshute, Shirley (Mark) Wyrwas, Kevin (Jennifer) Koshute, and Keith (Ann) Koshute. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his brothers, David and Robert Koshute.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Thursday from 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Friday at 10:00 AM. Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Windber, PA.
