Cody James Kier

Cody James Kier, age 29, of Valencia, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 due to a motor vehicle accident.

Born on December 9, 1988 in McCandless Twp., he was the son of Carol Black Kier and the late Gary Kier.

Cody was a graduate of Mars High School class of 2007 where he excelled at long distance running and hockey. He attended Pitt Johnstown where he played for the hockey club for two years before moving to Pitt Main to continue his education.

Cody was employed at James Austin Company and also Willie’s Tavern.

Surviving is his mother, Carol Black Kier of Valencia; his siblings, Kimberly Kier of Valencia, Carrie (John) Austin of Mars, Lori (Casey) Kier of Cabot, and Jake (Roz) Kier of Valencia; his maternal grandmother, Marian Black of Valencia. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Tuesday from 6-9 PM and Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
