Arthur R. Maynard

Arthur “Art” R. Maynard, age 93, of Gibsonia, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at his home in Pine Twp.

Born in Harts Creek, W.V. on July 15, 1925, he was the son of the late Jesse and Luemma Williams Maynard.

Art was a roofing contractor and had his own business, Art Maynard Construction.

He was a social member of the Mars V.F.W. Post 7508 and also belonged to the West View Gun Club.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Flora Cook Maynard, who he married on June 12, 1949; his children, Ronald (Linda) Maynard of Gibsonia, Bruce (Jerrie) Maynard of Wexford, Randy Maynard of Gibsonia, Jeff (Sherrie) Maynard of Las Vegas, Artie (Amy) Maynard of Valencia, Joyce (David) Scatena of Cheswick, and Cindy Maynard of Gibsonia; and a brother, Percy (Linda) Maynard of FL. Also survived by 14 grandchildren as well as many great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by three sisters, Olive, Frankie, and Mary and two brothers, Crit and Emory Maynard.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday from 2-4 PM. Services will be held privately. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
