Werner John Eggers

Werner John Eggers, age 98, of West Deer Twp., formerly of Tallmadge, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2024 at AHN Hospital in Wexford.

Born in Hude, Germany on March 11, 1926, he was the son of the late Claus Emil and Emma Alwine Daufeldt Eggers.

Werner immigrated to the United States in July of 1953 to Hays, Kansas. After working in Hays, he moved the family to Tallmadge, Ohio where he worked and retired after 35 years from Reuther Mold. He has lived the past five years in West Deer Twp., PA.

Father of Emil Eggers (Marietta) of Dayton, Ohio, Hanna Lore Cirjak (John "Jack") of Tallmadge, Ohio and Mary Ann Luette (David) of West Deer Twp., grandpa and Opa of Melissa Salsbury (Matt), Jessica Gable (Richard), Andrew Eggers (Christy) and Matthew Luette (Michael), great grandpa and Opa Opa of Max and Micky Salsbury, Gianna Eggers and Luke, Dean and Neil Gable.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ermina Burgardt Eggers, who he married on November 5, 1949 and who died on December 24, 2019 and by his siblings, Karl Heinz Eggers, Emil Eggers and Herma Tulin.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Monday at 11:00 AM. Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.
