Wilma A. Meyers, age 86, of Mars, formerly of Penn Twp., died Wednesday evening, January 3, 2017 in the comfort of her home with her family by her side.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Stayduhar Ferlan.

Wilma had been a custodian with the Pine-Richland School District and was a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills, where she also belonged to the Christian Mothers.

Surviving are two daughters, Janet Emerick (Alan) of Butler and Kathy LaCava (Mark) of Valencia, two sons, Dennis Meyers (Rita) of Akron, OH, and Gary Meyers (Cathy) of Renfrew, a sister, Theresa Greer of Mars, ten grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy F. Meyers, who she married on April 28, 1951 and who died on June 25, 1991, and by a brother, Raymond Ferlan.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E Cruikshank Rd, Butler, PA 16002 on Monday at 11:30 AM. Please meet at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sharpsburg, PA.
