William K. Gilleland, age 86, of Largo, FL., formerly of Valencia, died Sunday morning, December 10, 2017 at Mortan Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL.

Born in Valencia, PA on January 23, 1931, he was the son of the late William O. and Clara Kennedy Gilleland.

While living in Valencia, Bill had worked for the D.D. Kennedy Farm and for Pittsburgh Cut Flower. Most recently he retired from the Food Service Department at the Largo Medical Center.

He was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church and attended the Indian Rocks Baptist Church at Heron House where he enjoyed singing with them. He was a life member of the Valencia V.F.D., now Adams Area Fire District.

Brother of Betty Steiner of Clearwater, FL., and Helen Porter of Largo, FL., uncle of James Steiner of Altoona, Dennis Porter in West Virginia, Jeffrey Porter in Texas and the late Ronald Steiner.  Also several great nieces and one great nephew.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday from 2-4 PM. Services will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. James Kirk, pastor of the Valencia Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Pine Twp. Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
