Roland A. Meeder

Roland A. Meeder, age 98, of Cranberry Twp., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, February 27, 2018 at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Cranberry Twp., PA on September 28, 1919, he was the son of the late Harry and Angie Beers Meeder.

Roland was the Maintenance Superintendent for the Methodist Church Union and Methodist Church Camp in Jumonville.

He was a member of Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry Twp. and had belonged to the Cranberry Senior Citizens.

Surviving are a daughter, Judy Sitler (Ron) of Cranberry Twp., four sons, Roy E. Meeder (Julie) of Mars, Harold W. Meeder (Susan) of Quinlan, TX, Fred E. Meeder (Virginia) of Carrolltown, Ohio and Scott A. Meeder (Mary) of Monongahela, PA, a brother, Howard Meeder of Gibsonia, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Westerman Meeder, who he married on October 9, 1940 and who died on December 4, 2000, and by two brothers, Laverne and Clyde Meeder.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Service will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Dutilh United Methodist Church, 1270 Dutilh Rd. Cranberry Twp, PA 16066. Please meet at the church. Burial will be in Dutilh Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Camperships at Jumonville, Jumonville Training Center, 887 Jumonville Rd. Hopwood, PA 15445.
