George Edward and Olga A. Pavlik Vayda

Olga A. Vayda, age 87, of the Ross Township, on Sunday, February 18, 2018, followed three days later by her loving husband, George E. Vayda, age 93, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 after 65 years of marriage. Parents of Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Vayda and his wife, Anna of Lubbock, TX and Leslie Ann McKinney and her husband, Kevin of Evans City. Grandparents of Ryan Vayda and Nathan, Haley and Logan McKinney.  George also survived by his brother, Andrew Robert Vayda in Florida.  Olga was a homemaker and George was a graduate of Robert Morris University and was an accountant for Pittsburgh Brewing Company and the State of Pennsylvania.  They were members of Berkley Hills Lutheran Church. Olga had been in the Eastern Star and George was a 32nd Degree Mason.  George also served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II.  Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Thursday from 6-8 PM. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Berkley Hills Lutheran Church Columbarium Fund, 517 Sangree Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
