Mona Rouzer Forsaith

August 27, 1916 ~ August 23, 2017 (age 100) 100 Years Old


Mona Neil Rouzer Forsaith, of Mars, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.

She was born August 27, 1916 to Olive and Walter Rouzer.  Her older sisters Mary Thompson and Shirley Neely predeceased her.

She is survived by her only daughter Paula and her husband Carl of New York. 

“Plain Gramma” was her name to her special grandsons Ken and wife Mary of MD and Mike and wife Jodi of CA.  She was “Gigi” to four wonderful grandchildren; Camille and Hank of MD and Olivia and Sydney of CA.

Mona graduated from Slippery Rock Normal School and went on to be a teacher for 10 years.  She eloped and married Paul Forsaith, Funeral Director, and had 52 great years together.  Playing the piano and organ were Mona’s gift and she used those talents throughout her life.  Mona continued her educational career as a Penmanship Teacher Trainer for Peterson handwriting though out PA.

The credit she gave for her longevity she gave to what she called the “five C’s”, Compliments, Chocolate, Cosmetics, Cranberry and Christ!

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday from 4-7 PM. Graveside services will be private. Memorial contributions in Mona’s memory may be made to Valencia Presbyterian Church, Adams Area Fire District, Quality Ambulance, South Butler Community Meals on Wheels or St. Barnabas Hospice.
