Mary L. Neely, age 85, of Evans City, formerly of Cranberry Twp., passed away on Tuesday morning, June 27, 2017 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born in Beaver County, PA on November 19, 1931, she was the daughter of Charles and Blanche Cress and step-daughter of the late Leora Cress.

A homemaker, Mary was a lifelong member of the Franklin Park Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Earl “Pete” Neely, who she married on May 9, 1953, a daughter, Joyce Afflerbach (Joe) of Freedom, a son, Ken Neely (Nancy) of Boise, Idaho, her grandchildren, Ben Neely (Catie), Ian Neely (Rie), the late William Neely, Rachel Neely, Lacey Fallecker (Alex) and Dustin Klein, a great granddaughter, Autumn Neely, a brother, Edward Cress (Dorothy) of Zelienople, three sisters-in-law, Mildred, Evelyn and Annette Cress and nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Grace McPherson and three brothers, William, Robert and George Cress.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Franklin Park Baptist Church, 2470 Nicholson Rd. Sewickley, PA 15143, with Rev. George Palombo, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church.
