Martha C. Misson

Martha C. Misson, age 93, of Allison Park, formerly of Wexford, McCandless and Butler, died Tuesday morning, March 13, 2018 at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 11, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary McLaughlin Staub.

Martha graduated from Duquesne University with a B.N. and then went to Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and returned to Duquesne to finish a Master’s Degree in Nursing.  She had been the Director of Psychiatric Nursing at St. Francis Hospital for 20 years.  She later was a hospice volunteer.

A member of St. Alexis Church in Wexford, she had also been an assistant CCD teacher at St. Sebastian Church.

Wife of the late George W. Misson, who she married on June 20, 1970 and who died on November 10, 1990.  Also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Theodore Staub.

Step-mother of Barbara Ann Schulte and Frances Louise Misson, both of Allison Park, grandmother of Walter George Schulte (Maggie) and Mary Katherine Schulte DiMaggio (Jason).  Also several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Friday at 10:00 AM. Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.
