Marie S. Krapf, age 88, of Mars, formerly of Conyngham, PA, died Wednesday evening, August 23, 2017 at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born in Hazleton, PA on March 18, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret O’Donnell Schiefer.

Marie was a registered nurse, most recently for the White Haven State School.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Hazleton and enjoyed the activities at the Drums Senior Center.

Surviving are a daughter, Jayne Hill and her husband, Gregg of Mars, two sisters, Sr. Clare Christi Schiefer of Harrisburg and Betty Lou Cerciello of Allentown, a brother, John Schiefer of Pardesville, PA and her grandchildren, Jeremy, Katie and Jaymie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Krapf, a son, J. Wayne Krapf, and a brother, Edward Schiefer.

The family will greet friends at the Adams Ridge Club House, Adams Ridge Blvd. Mars, PA http://www.adamsridge.net/ on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 5-8 PM. A Celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 PM, with Rev. Terry Mann, pastor of Deer Creek Presbterian Church, officiating. He will share scripture, prayer and some personal memories of Marie and invite others to also.  Light refreshments will be served.  a graveside service in Hazleton will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Dr. Butler, PA 16001.
