Margaret M. Karas, who many know as “Gran”,  formerly of Conway, passed away peacefully on  Wednesday afternoon, May 25, 2016 at the age of 88, with her family at her side at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot after a long and beautiful life.

Born in Aliquippa, PA on July 15, 1927, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Fudor Lehocky.

Margaret was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church in Conway.

Surviving are her daughters, Judy Sebastian of Freedom, PA and Sandra Borys (John) of Mars, her grandchildren, Alex Sebastian (Erin), Danielle Whigham (Matthew), John Borys (Mandy) and Zack (Meredith) and Lauren Borys, her great grandchildren, Julia and Alexander Sebastian and Charly Whigham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Karas, who she married on October 12, 1946 and who died on February 27, 1991, and by six brothers and one sister.

We love and will remember her for the countless meals and endearing love she showed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, their friends, and our many dogs through the years.

Arrangements are private under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.  Entombent will be in the mausoleum at Beaver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Marge Karas may be made to Cabot Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Rd. Cabot, PA 16023.
