Lois M. Lessner, age 66, of Mars, died Thursday morning, March 31, 2016 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born in Valley Stream, N.Y., on February 23, 1950, she was the daughter of Mildred Magill Casella Stelter of Valencia and the late Nicholas Casella.

Lois was the Safe Environment Coordinator for St. Kilian Church in Cranberry Twp., where she was a longtime member.  She also had been the Deli Manager at Mars IGA for many years.

Surviving are two daughters, Tracey Lessner of Cranberry Twp. and Denise Tabacchi and her husband, David of Seven Fields, a son, Keith Lessner in New York City,  her grandchildren, Gianna and Dante Tabacchi, her mother, Mildred Stelter of Valencia, a sister, Marilyn Fiordilino and her husband, Anthony in N.J., many nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Lessner, who she married on March 15, 1969 and who died on February 11, 2016.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, corner of Clark and Cherrys Sts. Mars, PA on Monday at 4:00 PM. Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church. Committal Services will be on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Holy Savior Cemetery in Richland Twp. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066.
