Julia A. Moore, age 80, of Pine Twp., Gibsonia, died Wednesday morning, May 24, 2017 in the comfort of her home.

Born in Oyster Bay, N.Y., on May 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Paul and Mary Irwin Coleman.

Julia started her career as a nurse in public health and then completed her degree as an elementary school teacher, both in New York.

She was a member of St. Kilian Church in Cranberry Twp.

Beloved wife of Almer F. Moore, Jr., who she married on July 18, 1964, loving mother of Andrew Moore (Monica), Douglas Moore (Kristin), both of Detroit, MI and Marybeth Lang (Michael) of Gibsonia, grandmother of Sydney and Jenna Lang, and Joshua, Alexander, Samuel, Nicholas and Sophia Moore, sister of the late Dennis and Gerard Coleman, and nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM, with Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Twp., PA. Memorials may be made to Bethany Hospice, Six Parkway Center #100, 875 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 or the Building Fund of St. Kilian Church.
