Jean L. Austin, age 87, of Mars, died Saturday afternoon, September 10, 2016, at the Arbors III of St. Barnabas.

Born in Homestead, PA on January 4, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Lillian Williams Anderson.

Jean was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, the North Suburban Fine Arts League and the Butler and Treesdale Country Clubs.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Austin (Greg) of Tarentum, a son, John Austin (Carrie) of Mars, a sister, Mary Lou Estok (Eugene) of Bowie, MD., her grandchildren, Ryan Henderson, Robbie Clancy (Marquis), and Jack and Lindsay Austin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. “Jack” Austin, who she married on July 2, 1949 and who died on October 19, 2011, by a brother, Eugene Anderson and two sisters, Sharon Yonkavitz and Arlene Flamm.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Thursday from 9-11:00 AM. Services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with Rev. Donn Ed, officiating. Burial will be in Bakerstown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hosanna Industries, 109 Rinard Lane, Rochester, PA 15074.
