Howard "Howdie" Hartung, Jr.

Howard Hartung Jr. of Mesa, AZ, 86 years old, passed away early Friday, November 24, 2017.  He died from Myasthenia Gravis and other health complications.    Howdie was retired from MSA.  He grew up in Evans City and graduated from the high school there.  Both of his parents preceded him in death:  Howard Sr. and Margaret.   He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Norma Bushor of Mesa, a sister, Bonnie Myers (Middle Lancaster), step-daughter, Cheryl Paul and her husband, Charles (Cora, WY ),  a niece, Nancy Goodman, (Durand, MI) and three children with former wife Dolores Taylor (Naples, FL), his sons, Gregg Hartung and his wife Tina (Mars), Jeff Hartung and his wife, Dolly (Salem Twp.), and daughter, Melanie Adams and her husband, Keith (Brooklyn, NY).  Six grandchildren,  Ashley Hartung (Pittsburgh), Matthew Hartung and wife Nora (Ruckersville, VA), Michele Hartung (Brooklyn, NY), Angela Hartung (Valencia),  Maria Hartung (Mars), and Willa Adams (Brooklyn, NY).  One great grandchild, Mabel Hartung (Ruckersville, VA).  He served as a Trustee and Elder at Crestview Community Church PCUSA in Callery, PA.  He loved to bicycle, spend time hiking with friends up Superstition Mountain, and cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers.  There will be a Memorial Service and Luncheon on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Crestview Church, 210 Kline Avenue, Callery, PA.  Memorial gifts can be made to:  Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
