Sarah, Joey, Julie and family;

I am so sorry to hear about Howard's passing. Although we have not seen your family recently, you have often been in our thought over the years and remember all the times that our family spend together in years past. We understand how hard it is to let go of loved ones so we will keep your family in our prayers.

"Wild Bill", Todd, Doug, Mark, Tammy and Tim.

I haven't visited this site in a while and thus didn't see your post. We, too, have such great memories of our time with the Anderson family. Thank you so much for your kind message. I will be sure to pass it along to my mom. She misses him terrible but is comforted by knowing that they will one day be together again. Sixty-six years is a long time, and she surely feels the loss. Stay blessed.

What a guy! What a great friend and neighbor! What a sense of humor and a storyteller. Every story he told began with a chuckle. He couldn't help it! First the chuckle, then the story. This I will remember most.

Hi Greg, he definitely was "quite a guy"!
We all have wonderful memories of him, as you do, that we will never forget.
I don't get to Mars anymore, but if I'm ever in the area I'll stop by to see you.

Julie and I occasionally reminisce about the time Howard offered Matt one of those big, green olives from North Star Cheese, and Matt's reply was, "I'm not eatin' that! It looks like it's been rolling around on the shag carpet!" We crack up! Daddy did, too. Also, I will never forget the tirade you went on about Donna's big purse compared to my little purse. I just laughed and laughed! Still do! Donna, I can't put your most famous quote in here, but let's just say it was said by you outside the bathroom of the campground swimming hole at Western Reserve Lake after Matt exited the men's room! Ooooh! Remember? Love you kids! Thank you for your prayers. I will miss him but look forward to spending eternity with him and our Lord.

Not a month went by in the last year or so of his life that he didn't mention Matt's apparent fear of water and Matt's comment about having to " . . . wear a snorkel in the shower!" Daddy just thought that was the funniest thing ever. We love you guys and are so grateful for our memories that include you. Thank you so much for your prayers. They give us incredible strength and peace.

Our deepest sympathy to the Schwan family. Howard was such a joy to all of us on Cherry Street. He would stop into the shop and always have a story for us. And when the kids were small, we went to "Howard's Camp" a lot because they loved going there so much. Thanks for the great memories Howard...

Mrs. Schwan, Joe and Julie
I am so sorry to her of the passing of Howard. He was a caring husband, loving father and all around great guy. They don't make them like that anymore. I'll always remember him for his great sense of humor and how patient and nice he was to the kids in the neighborhood. Joe, you darn well know we tested him at times.
My sincerest sympathy and condolences to you and your families.

Thank you so much, Denny. What wonderful words to hear from an objective observer. ;-) He will be missed, but the blessings of having him as our dad will last forever. Bless you and your family.
