Gary R. Theiss

Gary R. Theiss, age 76, of Mars, formerly of Gibsonia, died Wednesday morning, January 24, 2018 at Lifecare Suburban in Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 8, 1942, he was the son of the late Donald and Florence Eckendahl Theiss.

Gary had been a Postal Worker for the Bulk Mail Center in Warrendale.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Meals Theiss, who he married on May 29, 1992,  two step-sons, William Kaib (Tonya) of Richland Twp., and Jayson Kaib of Mars, his grandchildren, Joshuah and Alexah Kaib, his sisters, Judy Gross of Mars and Linda Cataldo of Gibsonia, and two brothers, Ronald Theiss in Florida and Donald Theiss in Colorado.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachariah Kaib and a sister, Aileen Davidson.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Martin, pastor of the Valencia Methodist Church, officiating. Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 1645 W 8th St, Erie, PA 16505.
