Eleanor L. Heidelberg, age 90, of Mars, died Saturday morning, August 6, 2016 at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Butler, PA on May 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Louisa Kummer.

Eleanor was a homemaker and artist who enjoyed painting on slate and was a wonderful cook, who always had her nails done and jewelry on.  She was a devout member of Zelienople Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and many years ago she was a full time minister, sharing her beliefs about living on a paradise earth and resurrection of those in memorial tombs with ones she met in the preaching work.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Heidelberg, who died on March 1, 2010, and by her siblings, Gilbert, Melvin, Ray, Louise, Nettie, Wilda and Ferne.

Surviving are nieces and nephews and her longtime friend and helper for over 55 years, Sarah Bick of Mars.

Friends are invited to a Service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 250 Evans Rd. Zelienople, PA 16063 on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 4:00 PM.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA 16046.
