Edward Dressler

April 5, 1921 ~ July 13, 2016 (age 95) 95 Years Old


Edward Dressler, age 95, of Cranberry Twp., formerly of Lawrenceville, died Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Cranberry Place Senior Community.

Born in Pittsburgh, on April 5, 1921, he was the son of the late Gregory and Mary Chojnacka Dreslinski.  He was raised in Lawrenceville and spent most of his adult life in Cranberry Twp.

Edward was a truck driver for Teamsters Local 249, in Pittsburgh.  He was a member of the Harmony Moose and the Cranberry Elks #2249.

He served in the US Navy during World War II, as a Gunner’s Mate, and was a member of the Mars V.F.W. Post 7505, and visited with fellow veterans in  Mars and Evans City. 

Ed retired from McLean Trucking and enjoyed many years of retirement, which included being a big sports fan of the Pirates and Steelers.

Surviving are his son, Harry G. Dressler, and his wife Peggy, of Cranberry Twp.;two grandsons, Greg Dressler and his wife Katy, and Jack Dressler and his wife Lauren; four great-Grandchildren, Alex, Ava, Daniel and Aubrey Dressler.

 He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ethel Mae Brown Dressler, and his Brothers and Sisters.

Friends received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA, on Sunday 2-5 PM.  Service will follow at 5:00 PM, at the Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Parkinson, Senior Pastor of the Dutilh United Methodist Church.Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park, Cranberry Twp., PA.

Memorials may be made to the Dutilh United Methodist Church.
