Charles E. Riesmeyer, age 70, of Lackawanna, N.Y., formerly of Evans City, died Thursday morning, February 2, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y.

Born in Evans City, PA on April 24, 1946, he was the son of the late Alfred and Regina Murray Riesmeyer.

He had been a truck driver and later the Recycling Supervisor for Waste Management in N.Y.

Charles had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah Riesmeyer, a daughter, Shelley Wehr (Thomas) of Evans City, a son, Ronald Riesmeyer (Janice) of Chicora, his grandchildren, Nelson and Joshua, his step-children, James, Julie and Jolene, his step-grandchildren, James, Lindsay and Jessica, four sisters, Geraldine Albert of Pgh., Phoebe Riesmeyer in Fl., Frances Manzur (Mike) of Sewickley and Patricia Kies (Roger) of Beaver, three brothers, John Riesmeyer (Dorothy) of Valencia, Michael Riesmeyer (Carol) in GA, and Richard Riesmeyer (Lisa) in S.C., and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred and Daniel Riesmeyer.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Rd. Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 on Wednesday at 12:00 Noon. Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Evans City Cemetery.
