Carol A. Burr, age 78, of Mars, died Thursday evening, May 11, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 10, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Claire Thompson Rettinger.

Carol was a school bus driver for A.J. Myers and Son for the Mars School District for many years.

She was a member of the Butler County Sheriff’s Posse and had attended Life Pointe Alliance Church (Mars Alliance).

She enjoyed quilting, sewing, arts and crafts, flower arranging and especially riding her horses.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph A. Burr, two sons, Earl Burr (Betty) of Mars and Raymond Burr (Brenda) of Evans City, her grandchildren, Dylan, Chelsie, Michelle, Kevin, Josh and Abby, her great granddaughter, Xochi,  her sister, Arlene Fitchette (L.D.) of Jacksonville, FL., and a cousin and good friend, Marjy Dilmore.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will follow at 8:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev.
