Betty L. Martin, age 95, of Altamonte Springs, FL., formerly of Mars and Gibsonia, died Thursday morning, May 5, 2016 at Florida Hospital Altamonte.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Loyal and Martha Scott Jamison.

Betty had been the receptionist at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars for many years.

While living in Mars, she was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and most recently belonged to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora, Iowa.  She also belonged to the Mt. Nebo Grange.

Surviving are four sons, George Martin, Jr. (Dolly) of Franklin Park, Rev. Kenneth Martin (Martha) of Locust Grove, VA., Jeff Martin (Barbara) of Gibsonia and Mark Martin (Kelli) of Winter Park, FL., 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Martin, who she married on June 16, 1939 and who died on April 8, 1996, by a son, Dennis Martin and two sisters.

A private burial will be in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Shaler Township, PA. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to St. John Specialty Care Center, P.O.
