Amy L. Mellor, age 86, of Mars, formerly of Valencia, died Wednesday afternoon, April 20, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 29, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Mazak Liska.

Amy had been the secretary at the Mars United Presbyterian Church, where she was a member and Deacon.  She had also worked at Edwards George Insurance Agency in Pgh.

Surviving are two sons, Walter “Wally’ Mellor (Jan) of Mars and David Mellor (Sharon) of Valencia, two daughters, Patricia Mellor of Pittsburgh and Amy Wonderly of Mars, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Mellor, Jr., who she married on February 9, 1952 and who died on February 11, 1983 and by two brothers, Joseph and Arnold Liska.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM at the Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA. Please meet at the Church. Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Twp., PA.
